Swemac is committed to ensuring that all our products and services meet the highest levels of quality, safety and efficacy.
Our Quality Management System helps us maintain an effective quality program for all aspects of our business, in order to provide products and services that meet and exceed our customers’ requirements and to maintain a high level of compliance with regulations and international standards. We take pride in our quality assurance and work closely with our suppliers and distributors to ensure that they fulfil the highest quality standards.
In addition to our internal audit programs, our Notified Body, Intertek Medical Notified Body AB, annually conducts independent audits of all our sites and of our head office in Linköping, Sweden.

Swemac holds a quality management system certificate in compliance with ISO 13485:2016. - Medical Device Directive (MDD 93/42/EEC)
Swemac holds an EC Certificate for full quality assurance in compliance with MDD. This certificate has been extended by law according to Regulation 2023/607, and our MDD-devices fulfil the conditions for an extended transitional period until 2027 or 2028 depending on the risk class. - Medical Device Regulation (MDR 2017/745)
Swemac holds a Quality Management System Certificate and a Technical Documentation Assessment Certificate in compliance with MDR.
Many of our devices are already CE-marked according to MDR. For other devices, MDR conformity assessment procedures are initiated/ongoing at our Notified Body.
