Hansson Pin System
The Hansson Pin system, designed by Professor Lars Ingvar Hansson at the University of Lund in Sweden, was developed based on research concerning the effects of implants on the blood supply to the femoral head.
The implant design and surgical technique minimizes surgical trauma and offers a secure and stable fixation with reduced risk of healing complications. Over twenty years of successful clinical use have led the Hansson Pin System to its current form. Until this date, more than 250.000 patients have been treated with the Hansson Pin System.
The Hansson Pin consists of two parts, an outer pin and a hook which is deployed through a window of the outer pin.
